Long’s article A Sketchy History of St. Paul’s Church notes “Hugh Earl, Esq., Commander in the Upper Canada Navy, 1765 – 1841” (pg 44, #33) which indicates that there was a stone for Hugh Earl at the time (1937).

Hugh Earl was married to Ann Earl until her death in 1818.
